Mouse control services

Don’t wait to call us - mice breed fast. A family of six mice can multiply to over 50 in a matter of three quickly infesting multiple areas of your home or business. Different types of mice, like the deer mouse, can also gain access to the smallest of spaces, making it difficult to locate their nesting spots.

If you suspect you have mice, contact us online or call 800-937-8398 to schedule an inspection. Our mouse control technicians can help.

Mouse proofing

Mouse proofing is the process of making your home or business harder for mice to enter. This involves sealing any crack, gap, or hole where a mouse could squeeze through. Mice can fit through openings as small as a dime and gaps over ¼ of an inch. If their skull can fit through, they can get through. It’s important to pay close attention to entry points around door sweeps, vents, and utility lines.

Our technicians carry out a thorough inspection to locate these weak spots. We use proven proofing methods and recommend repairs that help keep rodents out. While DIY proofing can offer short-term relief, hiring a pest control company like Western Exterminator ensures the work is comprehensive and targeted. This helps reduce the mouse population inside and can help prevent future infestations.

If you’ve had a mouse problem before or want to avoid one, mouse proofing can make a big difference. It’s a key step in long-term mouse control, alongside professional mouse exterminator services. Western Exterminator also provides rat control services.

How mouse treatments work

Our approach to mouse control is thorough and focused on both the immediate issue and long-term prevention. Each step of our treatment process is designed to target the mouse population, reduce activity, and block access to your property.

Our technician will walk you through each phase of the process. From identifying signs of an infestation to recommending proofing steps, our service is built to address every stage of an infestation. Western Exterminator offers both residential and commercial pest control services.

Initial inspection

Every mouse exterminator visit begins with a thorough inspection. Your technician will check for signs of rodent activity, such as gnaw marks, urine, feces, odor, and nesting materials. We'll also look for possible entry points like a crack, gap, or damaged area that could be letting rodents inside.

During this step, we’ll assess your property’s risk factors, like food sources or cluttered areas where rodents could hide. The inspection helps us understand the scope of your mouse problem and tailor our mouse control approach to your needs. Book your free inspection today.

Removal and treatment

Once we’ve identified where rodents are hiding and how they’re getting in, our next step in rodent control is extermination. This may include using mouse traps, bait stations, and other targeted methods depending on the severity of the infestation and location. The goal is to eradicate the mouse population efficiently and safely.

We take care to remove nesting material and rodent waste that could contaminate areas and spread diseases like leptospirosis, salmonellosis, or hantavirus. If mice have reached wall voids or hidden cavities, don’t worry: we use tools and strategies designed to reach even hard-to-access spaces.

Prevention

Prevention is key to avoiding more mouse infestations in the future. After the initial treatment, we focus on reducing conditions that attract mice in the first place. This means identifying and addressing food sources, clutter, and moisture, as well as sealing off any possible re-entry points.

We may recommend physical improvements like adding door sweeps, securing utility access points, or repairing a gap or crack in your structure. These measures can also help exclude other pests that use similar access points.

Follow-up inspections

After treatment, we’ll schedule follow-up visits to monitor for any signs of ongoing rodent activity. These inspections help us track progress, adjust strategies if needed, and give you peace of mind that your mouse pest control plan is working.

Our technicians will check traps, revisit known trouble areas, and make sure the steps taken earlier are holding up. It’s an important part of keeping the rodent issue under control.

How does Western Exterminator get rid of mice?

We will discuss treatment options with you for either interior or exterior servicing, or both. Whether it’s trapping, exclusion or monitoring services, they’ll provide effective solutions to meet all your pest control needs.

Interior rodent service

Rodent control inside will include the use of mechanical rodent traps, snap traps, and/or bait stations. If there are no readily available water sources, we’ll use liquid rodenticide to provide an alternate water source. If there is an increase in mouse activity, temporary devices will be added.

Exterior rodent service

Rodent control outside will include proactively using monitoring bait or rodenticide in the exterior rodent bait stations. Your technician will add more bait when there is an increase in feeding activity or if the bait is totally consumed.
