Experience LED technology that outperforms conventional fly light traps

LED technology has completely changed the game for trapping flies. Traditional insect light traps rely on fluorescent UV bulbs, which quickly lose effectiveness and drain electricity.

Lumnia breaks the mold by using high-attraction LED lamps engineered to capture more flies while reducing your power usage. Lumnia provides industry-leading LED units that can catch flies up to 46% faster than other major insect light traps.¹ These efficient LED lamps have a lifespan of four years and outlast similar products by 33%.² Longer-lasting lamps mean less maintenance and lower bulb replacement costs over time.

Raising your business to food safety standards

In food and beverage facilities, there’s no margin for error. That’s why Western Exterminator relies on Lumnia LED insect light traps, which are engineered specifically for environments where sanitation, compliance, and consistency are critical. With Lumnia, you get peace of mind backed by:

  • HACCP-certified for use in food handling and processing spaces, meaning it meets strict food safety standards by helping control contamination risks at critical points.

  • Discreet, non-zapping capture using glueboards or enclosed units to help reduce contamination risk.

How Lumnia attracts and traps flies and insects

Lumnia insect light traps capture flies and avoid the unsanitary mess caused by traditional bug zappers. These advanced fly lights discreetly remove pests from your facility without relying on unsightly or loud zapping mechanisms. Here’s how Lumnia works:

Attraction

The high-output LED lamps emit the exact UV-A light wavelength (350mm) that house flies see best. This targeted illumination quickly and powerfully draws pests directly toward the commercial fly light.

Capture

Once they approach the fly light trap, insects are safely secured to the unit’s specialized glueboards. In commercial areas with heavy fly activity, specific models use an automatic cassette to roll up and trap the bugs.

Containment

Because this led insect light trap doesn't zap, there is minimal risk of dead insect parts scattering into your sensitive prep areas. With no catch trays to empty, you get a much cleaner, easier, and compliant fly control solution.
