Mice are quick to move into campers, RVs, and motorhomes because they can offer food, warmth, and shelter. But how can you keep mice out of your camper while it is parked? Here is what you could do to help make the vehicle less inviting:

• Check the vehicle regularly for signs of a mouse infestation, like droppings, gnaw marks, and nests.
• Check carefully around and underneath the vehicle for any potential entry points. Mice can squeeze through the smallest of gaps, so ensure that all gaps are tightly sealed.
• Keep any food in metal or plastic airtight containers. Mice can easily chew through paper and cardboard packaging. Better still, remove all food if placing the camper in storage for a longer period.
• Keep your camper clean to reduce crumbs and food odors that attract rodents.
• Park away from tall grass or wooded areas when possible.
