Mr. Little Walks The Red Carpet

It took me a while but I finally removed the glitter from my trademark top hat that one of Hollywood’s leading ladies was tossing around at a post-Academy Awards party. Who knew glitter was so hard to brush off?

I was fortunate to attend this year’s Academy Awards at the Nokia Theater last night here in Hollywood and what an evening. The stars, the food, the excitement!

It was almost as exciting as nabbing Menace Mouse when he tried to sneak his way inside a house a few weeks back. When will he learn that my colleagues and I at Western Exterminator are “stars” when it comes to rodent control?

How did I land a ticket to “the” event for the film industry? Well, for over 100 years Western Exterminator has been trusted to protect the homes and businesses of some of the leading names in the entertainment industry and keep them pest-free.

We won’t name names of current living legends whose homes we service since we respect our customers’ privacy but let’s just say we would definitely be listed if pest management was included on the credits for many films and television shows!

Some of our “A” list clients have included legendary stars of the silver screen such as the late Marlon Brando, Clark Gable, Bob Hope and Lucille Ball, as well as famed producers Walt Disney and Howard Hughes. Not bad company to keep if I may say so myself!

I am certainly not one to brag but Western Exterminator has made several cameo appearances in Hollywood productions over the years.

Remember Mouse Hunt with Nathan Lane? The movie was released in 1997 and the studio invited 800 of my colleagues at Western Exterminator and their families to be the audience for the world-wide premier in Westwood. Star Nathan Lane was in attendance along with the mouse.  It was such a great story, our Western team was rooting for the mouse!  What a night for the green and yellow!

Who can forget the cameo one of our service trucks made in Earth Girls Are Easy starring Jim Carrey, Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum? You may have also caught a glimpse of a Western Exterminator truck in Echo Park starring Susan Dey of Partridge Family fame.

Our legendary Service Center #1 along the Hollywood Freeway has also made it to the big screen. The producers of Lethal Weapon asked us to leave the lights on and illuminate the  20-foot likeness of yours truly while they were filming a nighttime chase scene.

I am still waiting for my first speaking role and, like many people in this town, I have a few things “in development” that I can’t talk about right now but that will certainly put Western Exterminator on the big screen. Stay tuned for I will reveal all when I can right here!

Let us know if we can play a starring role in helping you and your family live a pest-free life. You can send me an e-mail at [email protected]. I’ll be sure to get back to you right away with an answer.

Until next time, thanks for making Western Exterminator Company “The Final Word in Pest Control®”

Have a pest free day.
